Fire Scene Examination

Our Fire Investigators have extensive experience and formal training in investigating the following classes of fire: Industrial, Commercial, Residential, Automotive & Equipment.
A successful case is often based on the information and evidence collected during the on-scene investigation. Our scene examinations are fully documented with notes, photographs, video, diagrams and witness statements using the scientific method.
During our investigation, we are mindful that any investigation may turn into a full litigated case.  Therefore, when we process a scene we make sure that a hypothesis is developed after all of the scene information is gathered and that proper investigative techniques are used.

Witness Interviews

Witness interviews are used to gather both useful and accurate information about the incident.

Our investigators are trained in interview techniques and follow structured statement guidelines when gathering information about the incident.

Evidence Collection & Storage

The identification, collection and handling of exhibits are significant factors to building and proving cause and origin for a fire investigator. If any one of these factors are mishandled or proper procedure not followed, the case could be in jeopardy.

With this in mind, we maintain a strict exhibit collection and maintenance guideline.
All our exhibits are collected and properly secured to maintain the chain of custody at all times.

Our secured exhibit storage facility is capable of storing both large and small items.  All exhibits are handled with the same care in order to maintain the evidentiary integrity while stored.

Subrogation

Should we recognize subrogation potential during the course of our investigation; our clients will be informed immediately, allowing other interested parties to be informed.  Whether it’s determining responsibility, assessing product liability or facilitating ongoing investigations, we provide an objective and thorough investigation and document and report our findings.
Our goal is to provide an objective investigation, with complete documentation and solid conclusions in order to minimize potential liabilities.

Reporting

It is our goal to provide a prompt response which speeds up the claims handling process and prevents costly delays.  We provide a verbal report to the client within 24 hours of completing our scene examination and an initial report within 14 days.
We offer cursory to comprehensive reports to suit your specific needs. Our reports can also be sent via email saving you time.
We are committed to building strong, mutually beneficial long-term relationships with each of our clients.  We communicate with our clients regularly and provide attention to detail to ensure we understand your needs and represent your interests.  Our dedication to our clients is illustrated by consistently delivering excellent service and results that exceed your expectations and help you make informed decisions regarding future proceedings.
